ABS-CBN’s Precious Hearts Romances anniversary will be offering Martha Cecilia’s “Kristine Series.
It will feature Cristine Reyes and Zanjoe Marudo. Zanjoe will play the role of Bernard da Silva while Cristine will play Jewel Fortalejo. “Kristine Series” is one of the most popular Precious Heart Romances (PHR) pocketbooks and its TV adaptation will be directed by Rory Quintos.

I was so happy when a teaser came up in ABSCBN, but then I got disappointed with the actors the management has chosen. Eeeew… wlang kabuhay2 umarte ang mga boys lalo na si Cristine Reyes. Ok na si Denise Laurel coz she’s really beautiful and marunong umarte. To ABSCBN, ok lang kahit ma-move ang airing ng Kristine basta mapalitan ang mga actors & walang mabago sa kwento. Thanks!

Avid fan po ako ng Kristine series ni Martha Cecilia at masasabi kong napakaganda ang bawat istorya sinusulat nya. Masasabi kong naging addicted ako sa pag-aabang ng nakakapanabik na istorya ng bawat character sa Kristine series lalo na ang mga character na binuo ni Martha na sina Emerald at Marco, Jewel at Bernard, Nathaniel at Jasmine. Nang makita ko sa TFC ang trailer ng Kristine, natuwa ako at malaki ang expectations ko sa pagpili ng tamang artista sa character na gagampanan. Ngunit ng malaman kong sina Cristine at Zanjoe ang gaganap bilang Jewel at Bernard ay di ko nagustuhan. Tama ang mga naunang nag-comment, di bagay ang dalawang artistang gumanap sa character ng Jewel at Bernard. Gusto ko si Cristine Reyes pero di ako sang-ayon sa ABS-CBN na gumanap siya bilang Jewel at ang nararapat gumanap at mag-justified ng katangian at katauhan ni Jewel ay si ANGEL LOCSIN. Labis ko pong minahal ang character na isinulat ni Martha sa Kristine series. Sanay unawain ng ABS-CBN ang panawagan ng mga taong sumubaybay kay Martha at sa Precious Hearts Romance sa TV. Salamat po!
i agree na dapat nagpa audition ang abs sa adaptation nila ng series na ito. saka please abs pay attention sa mga comments at suggestion ng mga readers ng novel na ito. mas alam namin ang storyline at characters sa series na ito kaysa sa inyo. ma-disappoint lang kami kung hindi nyo susundin ang pagkasunod sunod nung series. maintindihan namin kung di nyo magawa exactly o i-fit ang tamang character, but starting with kristine reyes as jewel??? naman!!! as emerald OO pedeng pede xa. pero cgurado akong mauubusan kayo ng artista para sa series na ito!!! Ang nakikita namin na bagay ay c ANGEL LOCSIN pag c cristine kc ang gumanap, masisira ung imagination namin sa description ni jewel, sna iconsider naman po ang mga comments namin kc kming mga nakabasa na ng series ang magiging majority ng viewers… please para maenjoy naman namin ang show. tnx

haizt, i agree with all ur sentiments dear… i dont think Cristine fits the description of jewel fortalejo and zanjoe as bernard… geezzzz… martha created this story and character that we loved tas ganyanin lng ng ABS. haizt… parang ung midnight phantom… i dont think denise and raphael did justice to the story and the character… masyadong malamya si raphael to be the midnight phantom… and denise fail in comparison from nadja’s character. but all we can do is complain… they already did partial scene of the Kristine series and i dont think they will replace the cast… haizt… sayang lng tlga.. i’ve waited for this series to be in TV tas ganto lng… disappointing lng…

i was very happy when i heard na gagawin nang tv series ang Kristine series! pero tulad ng comments ng iba, sana nman pagandahin at pagplanuhan ng maigi ung cast of characters kasi fav q tlaga ang Kristine series. kung di din lg kaya mabigyan ng tamang character o masunod ung original story, mas mabuting wag nlg ituloy ung tv series! masisira lang ung story!!! to abs, sana pagandahin nu nman at isunod tlaga sa orig story ung gagawin nung tv series. its the best story ever!!!

Let’s say makakuha nga ng actress and actors na magfifit sa physical description ng mga characters sa pocketbook, but the question is kaya ba ng mga artista umarte as the characters they potray requires? the tv prod should consider the actors’ shooting schedules and their capability to potray the pocketbook characters. We have to understand everything before commenting such things like changing of name, dapat si ganito o si ganyan si jewel or bakit pinalitan ang name ni bernard fortalejo, kasi siguro hndi bagay kay zanjoe ang name na bernard pero perfect actor c zanjoe to portray the charcater so they have to adjust with the name ters well, despite of the difference in physical description. lets just be happy that our beloved pocketbook stories can now be watched on tv, lets just leave it all behind to the tv prod they know the best than ours. Lets all be enlightened that what we read in pocketbooks is meant to be in pocketbook, there will be a lot of adjustments when applying to a TV series. I hope I have justified the changes you all have been complaining about, actually Rory Quintos has explained already why there will be changes from pocketbook to tv in one of her interview.
add to my comments, Martha Cecilia has approved all the changes, because if not she should be filing now some sort of case if she hasnt approved any changes.

Pinagsabay nila ang KS Book 1(marco & emerald) at Book 4 (bernard & jewel. Marco and Emerald wil b portrayd by rafael russel & denise laurel(w/c i think bagay sa characters nina M & E). My spark kasi cna rafael at denise kya naka2kilig silang tingnan. While bernard and jewel wil b portrayd by zanjoe and cristine reyes( w/c i think d bagay sa character na B & J). Dapat kac morena ang gumanap as jewel kac morena ang dscription nya sa KS series. Hope q sana ok yung KS Teleserye pra d mabastos ang book ni martha… sya ang idol qng author d2 sa phil. and i love jewel and bernard’s character…. sobra…
