Anne Curtis Wins Best Actress And Other Winners Of 34th MMFF

Anne Curtis won the Best Festival Actress in the recent 34th Metro Manila Film Festival award held in the Harbor Garden Tent of Sofitel Philippine Plaza for the Php60million movie Baler wherein she is the leading lady of Jericho Rosales. Anne cried as she receives her first ever acting award for her performance.

The host of the event was Boy Abunda. Other winners includes Christopher de Leon for Best Festival Actor (Magkaibigan), Philip Salvador for best festival supporting actor (Baler), Mannilyn Reynes for best festival supporting actress (One Night Only), Robert Villar for best festival child actor (Shake, Rattle & Roll X), Mark Meily for best director (Baler), Best festival edi­tor: Danny Anonuevo (Baler), Best Festival Sound Recording: Dayo, Best Festival Production Design: Albert Santos (Baler), Best Festival Visual Effects: Robert Quilao (Dayo), Best Festival Make-Up Artist: Noli Villalobos (Desperadas 2), Best Festival Cinematography: Lee Meily (Ba­ler), Best Festival Screenplay: Roy Iglesias (Ba­ler), Best Festival Song: Lipad (Dayo), Best Festival Musical Score: Jessie Lasaten (Dayo),
Best Festival Story: Jose Javier Reyes (One Night Only).

The best picture went to Baler, Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat as second while Iskul Bukol 20 Years After got the 3rd.
