Ang Panggagahasa Kay Fe (The Rapture of Fe) is among the 10 finalists competing in the 2009 Cinemalaya Film Festival.
The cast includes lead star Irma Adlawan as Fe, TJ Trinidad as Arturo, Nonie Buencamino as Dante with the special participation of Mercedes Cabral as Gie. Introducing in the movie are Joel Molina and Meeyo Candelaria. Ang Panggagahasa Kay Fe is written and directed by Alvin B. Yapan.
Synopsis: A husband’s love is put to the test when baskets of black fruits kept appearing mysteriously by Fe’s doorstep. A wife’s loyalty becomes oppressive as a younger lover, Arturo, offers a fantasy for escape. Caught in a society where violence still remains unimaginably real and covertly present, could the imagined be real enough for a woman to assure her survival?

This screening coincides with our participation in the Cairo International Film Fest, competing in the International Digital Competition. We have been fortunate to have been invited to the Chicago Internataion Film Fest and New Delhi’s Osian’s Cinefan Festival. Later in December, we’re also competing in the Bahamas Film Fest.
